BIOGRAPHY

Gabriel Johnson is a gospel / smooth jazz saxophonist. He is a native of Shreveport, La. He attended the prestigious Dillard University in New Orleans where he received a B.S. Degree in Biology in 2006. He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and he has opened up for or played along with some of the greatest singers in the gospel industry such as the great Pastor Shirley Ceaser, Dorothy Norwood, Elder Goldwire, and Le’Andria Johnson, Ted Winn and Pastor Marvin Sapp just to name a few.

Gabriel’s love for the saxophone began at the age of eight. He began his quest to participate in the band and when asked what instrument he wanted to play he replied, “It doesn’t matter”. Under the anointing of the Holy Ghost he began to develop without any lessons or formal training, and the more he played the more anointing came upon him. With no saxophone lessons all under the anointing of the Holy Ghost he was able to master the techniques and is known today as one of the worlds’s most blessed and gifted saxophonist. After seeing the great Vernard Johnson live on stage he was inspired more to give God and the gift his all.

In his journey to minister the goodness of God he has received many awards. Just to name a few; 2017 Season 10 Prayze Factor Instrumentalist of the Year, The Martin Luther King Jr. Musician of the year, Most Talented of High School Senior Class, and even though music wasn’t his major he received Musician of the year in his college class also. For his appreciation of the gift that God has implanted in him he demonstrates his bigheartedness by ministering to such places as: nursing homes, jails, youth facilities, street ministries, homeless shelters, and to churches and organizations who can’t afford to make it to his concerts. Gabriel realizes that with God all things are possible as he continues his voyage to minister to the lives of people through music and song. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!!!
